Casino Site With Fishin Frenzy Megaways
We've always thought that fishing and playing casino games have a lot in common - they're both exercises in patience; swap the bait of fishing for the stake in spinning reels, and a cash payout for a nice big fish, and they're almost the same thing! You can play UK casino games without going outdoors and getting wet, so in our eyes they're better, but then we were always bound to say that! If fishing is one of your hobbies, you can combine the thrill of fishing with the excitement of a great casino game right here in Blueprint Gaming's Fishin Frenzy Megaways!
This is a sequel to an earlier Blueprint Gaming casino game and one which did very good business for them when they first released it. As they now have a license to use the Megaways system devised by Big Time Gaming, they’re revisiting a number of their old classics to revitalize them using the system. Fishin Frenzy is the latest to receive the treatment, and the result is a casino game that looks familiar but can now be enjoyed in a completely new way. Having thousands of different ways to win tends to have that effect!
For those of you who haven't come across any of the Megaways UK casino games before, here's how they work. The layout, when compared to a standard casino game, is massively expanded. There are six reels as opposed to the usual five, and the number of rows per reel can change from one reel to the next, and one spin to another. Everything is constantly changing and evolving, and the outcome of one spin can be staggeringly different from the next. Even the symbols change in size. If you have a reel with big symbols on it, you might only have two. If you get lots of little symbols, there can be as many as five. Taken all together, if you allow for every possible variety of symbol and size, you get north of 15,000 ways to win. It sounds complicated - and it is - but many players now prefer this system to the traditional casino games of old.
The graphics in Fishin Frenzy Megaways aren't spectacular, but then graphics in the original weren't special either, and as this is a sequel, Blueprint has decided not to tinker with the original format too much. The background is the sea, which sits below a light blue sky, and has a few rocks scattered about the bottom for the sake of scenery. You'll see the usual playing card symbols on the reels running from 10 up to A, taking up the low values, but they've been given a graphical twist which makes them look a bit like fish. On top of them, we have fishing rods, life buoys, tackle boxes, a stork (for some reason), and, of course, a fish.
As well as all the basic symbols, we have both a wild symbol and a scatter. The wild is a fisherman and a big fish, and the scatter is his boat. The wild does what a wild always does - substitutes for all the base game symbols, and helps to complete winning combinations by doing so. By contrast, the scatter will open up the bonus feature for you!
Fishin Frenzy Megaways Bonus Round
Fishin Frenzy Megaways is a significant break from the norm for Blueprint Studios. We almost expect them to dazzle us with multiple bonus features; often, the bonuses are the whole point of their UK casino games! This game is a little more relaxed, and also takes a relaxed approach to the execution of the Megaways system. While the feature usually involves collapsing wins and extra reels or rows, there’s none of that here. Instead, we have a very well-built Free Spins feature.
To claim your round of Free Spins, land as many scatter symbols as possible on any single spin of the reels. Three of them will bring you ten free spins, but to get the most out of the feature, you'll want more than that. Four scatters is worth fifteen spins, five gets you twenty-five, and if you're an exceptionally lucky player and you can land all six of them, that's sixty free spins and a guarantee of big winnings.
While free spins are happening, any fish symbols which land will have a cash value, which will be marked on the symbol. To receive this cash value, you need to have a wild fisherman symbol on the reels at the same time as the fish. Should you land more than one wild, you’ll get a x1* multiplier for every extra fisherman on screen applied to the value of your fishy wins.
If you want to play the free spins feature but you’re not having any luck with landing scatter symbols, you have the option of purchasing it outright. The price is 100x* your stake. It’s there if you want to use it, but we think it’s probably more expensive than just waiting to trigger them through standard play. Even if it takes a while blowing 100x* your usual bet in one go is a bold move when there’s no guarantee you’re going to make it back!
All sequels should be better than the original - even though that's rarely the case in the movies - but we think Fishin Frenzy Megaways is. Because of the inclusion of the Megaways system, it's essentially a completely different casino game which happens to look similar. We strongly recommend this as a starting point for getting into UK casino games which use the Megaways system; when you've got your head around the basic version of it which is employed here, you'll be ready to step it up to one of the more complicated games. Primal Megaways would probably be a good choice for the next step up.
Fishin Frenzy Megaways Developer
Nobody can accuse Blueprint Gaming of not extracting the maximum value from the Megaways license they presumably paid a lot of money for. Almost every single one of their more recent casino game releases has used the system; even its inventor, Big Time Gaming, don't use it this much! This isn't a criticism though - Blueprint has shown themselves to be experts at putting it to use.
While you can find Blueprint's offices in Newark, which is near Nottingham, they're connected to a much larger European company. That would be Germany's Gauselmann Group, who has been active in the casino market since the 1930s and specifically chose Blueprint as an outlet for UK casino games.
Fishin' Frenzy, while being a fantastic game, isn't a good example of what Blueprint usually do. They usually create games with far more advanced graphics, and pack in a lot more bonus features! Check out their officially-licensed 'Ted Casino Game' if you want to see what we mean about bonuses, or perhaps 'The Goonies Slot Game' if you're not a fan of Ted's coarse language.
